Ashya is an r&b singer and songwriter, born in South Korea, who moved to Los Angeles when she was 3 years old. Growing up as an Asian-American, Ashya struggled to find her place in society, constantly let down by stereotypes and mocking. Through music she was able to overcome all discouragement to mold herself into the well-rounded person she is today. As a result, she stands strong in breaking barriers for the Asian-American community and for all minorities in the industry, paving the way for future generations to come. Ashya grew up singing pop, classical, musical theatre, and jazz. Eventually, she discovered her identity as an r&b recording artist after joining K-Town L.A. artist collective Red Kloud Society. The key inspirations for her emotion-filled music are Jhene Aiko, Ashanti, and Kehlani.
Although Ashya is just getting started in her career, she already has numerous experiences performing publicly. Ashya has performed at the Hollywood Bowl, The Viper Room, The Mint, The Airliner, multiple festivals, and etc. After releasing her debut mixtape Expectations in November 2018, Ashya released her next creation, Vibe.
